REIT looks ahead to greener future

The Link Real Estate Investment Trust is spearheading efforts in the local property sector to drive up profit on a sustainability basis, as the industry grapples with the perception it is making money at the expense of the grassroots. Last year the largest REIT listed locally became the first Hong Kong firm to join a steering group formed by the United Nations Global Compact and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to show its commitment to sustainability, hoping the move can help lure more quality tenants to its malls and improve the business of existing ones.

Twitter cuts revenue forecast, shares slump

Twitter projected 2015 revenue of $2.17 billion to $2.27 billion, compared with its earlier forecast of $2.3 billion to $2.35 billion. Analysts on average had been expecting full-year revenue of $2.37 billion.

On April 28, 1945, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini and his mistress, Clara Petacci, were executed by Italian partisans as they attempted to flee the country. In 1789, there was a mutiny on the HMS Bounty as rebelling crew members of the British ship, led by Fletcher Christian, set the captain, William Bligh, and 18 others adrift in a launch in the South Pacific.
